Template for developing module introductions

  |  4 min read

You can use or adapt this template to quickly draft module introductions that help your students understand why the content matters and what they need to do. In online courses, your introduction sets the tone and guides students through the week.

Strong module introductions:

  • Connect the module to real-world experience or content you’ve already covered
  • Clearly outline expectations and priorities
  • Prompt active thinking with guiding questions

Consider opening each module with a brief story, scenario, or provocative question to capture attention.
